In short. Private PDF Toolkit processes your files on your own device. We do not collect, receive, store or share your documents or any personal data. There are no analytics, telemetry, advertising, tracking or remote code. The only network request the extension ever makes is a license-key check with our payment provider, and only if you choose to activate a Pro license.

1. Your documents

PDF and image files you open in the extension are read and processed locally in your browser (in memory and in a Web Worker started from the extension itself). They are never uploaded, transmitted or sent to any server, by us or by anyone else. Output files are saved by your browser to your device through the normal download mechanism. The extension keeps no copy of your files, their names or their content after you close the tab.

2. What is stored on your device

The extension uses the browser's extension storage (the storage permission), and only when you activate a Pro license. It stores a single record containing:

This record stays on your device. It is deleted when you click "Remove license" in the extension, or when you uninstall the extension. Free users have nothing stored. No document content, file names, settings, usage statistics or identifiers are stored.

3. The only network request: license validation

ItemDetail
WhenWhen you click "Activate" with a license key, and afterwards at most once every 7 days when you open the extension. If the check cannot reach the server, Pro keeps working offline for up to 14 days after the last successful check.
RecipientPolar.sh (https://api.polar.sh/v1/customer-portal/license-keys/validate), our payment provider and Merchant of Record.
What is sentExactly two fields in the request body: your license key and our Polar organization identifier. Cookies and referrer are not sent.
What is not sentNo documents, no file names, no page counts, no browsing history, no account or device identifiers, no analytics.
Technical data seen by PolarLike any web request, Polar's servers receive your IP address and standard HTTP headers (for example the browser's user-agent). We cannot control this and do not receive it; it is handled under Polar's own privacy policy: polar.sh/legal/privacy.
PurchasesIf you buy a license, you do so on a Polar checkout page that opens in a new tab only when you click one of the purchase buttons (Lifetime or Monthly) in the Go Pro dialog; the "Where is my key?" link likewise opens Polar's customer portal in a new tab. Polar processes the payment and your purchase data (name, email, payment and tax details). We do not receive your payment details.

Firefox: Mozilla treats a license key as "authentication information" transmitted to a third party. In Firefox the extension therefore declares this as an optional data-collection permission, and Firefox asks for your consent when you click "Activate". If you decline, nothing is sent and the license is not activated. No data is requested at install time.

4. Permissions explained

The extension does not read the pages you visit, your tabs' content, your history or your downloads, and it has no content scripts. It contains no remote code: all code is shipped inside the extension package, and it does not load scripts, fonts or other resources from the internet.

5. Data sharing, retention and children

We do not sell, share or transfer user data, because we do not collect any from the extension. We retain nothing from your use of the extension. The extension is not directed at children.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

Because we hold no personal data from the extension itself, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For purchase data held by Polar, or to ask any question, use Polar's tools or contact us at nexusscrapers.dev@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

7. Changes

If this policy changes materially, the new version will be published at this address with a new "Last updated" date and mentioned in the extension's release notes.

This page is self-contained: it loads no external scripts, fonts, images or trackers.
